Why does DxK9 start with an assessment?
Every dog arrives with a different history, household and environment. Assessment comes before the next step so the work reflects the dog in front of us.
Do you train the owner as well as the dog?
Yes. The people who live with the dog are part of the work from the start — handling, timing and consistency are what keep behaviour in place between sessions.
Where does training take place?
In your home and the environments your dog actually uses: the apartment, the lift and lobby, the building entrance, the street and the car.
What happens after the assessment?
You get a clear read on the factors surrounding the behaviour, the priorities to work on first, and the training pathway and level of support that fits the household.
Can you help with reactivity or aggression-related concerns?
These are assessed first, in context, before any plan is proposed. What is appropriate depends on the dog, the household and the environment — which is why nothing is prescribed before it is understood.
Does every dog follow the same programme?
No. The programme framework is a starting structure, not a fixed package. The assessment determines the pathway.
