01Your trainer
I don't train sessions.
I build households.
DxK9 was built from more than a decade of hands-on experience working directly with dogs and the people responsible for them in Dubai's pet-care environment. The work developed from direct handling and training into supervision, operations and private consultancy. Dexter's focus is the relationship between the dog, the household and the environment.
Good training is not measured by how impressive a dog looks for an hour. It is measured by how well the household can communicate, manage and maintain behaviour when the trainer is gone.
02How the work is approached
Built around the dog, the household and the environment.
DxK9 is not built around a methodology camp or a label. The work starts from the dog in front of us, the people who live with it and the environment it lives in — and the assessment determines what is appropriate from there, before anything is prescribed.
- Behaviour is read in context before it is judged
- The household is coached, not just the dog
- Work happens where the behaviour actually occurs
- Progress is proofed under real conditions, then handed over
